A Slow Fast

Sorry for the long pause in blogging.

It’s been a great season of watching everyone else do some great work out there in the blogosphere – I’ll have to show some link love soon.

In any case, just wanted to thank everyone who helped me out with feedback on the youth retreat for the Atlanta Chinese Church over the new year’s. It went much better than I had planned and was wonderful to be a part of. The photo below can take you to a photo album of the retreat if you’re interested.

And here are a few of my powerpoints from the retreat in video format below:

Briefly, the 6 sessions from the retreat followed a trajectory trying to describe the Christian life. Session 1 was a move “from religion to faith,” and while the video will make no sense without the audio (which I don’t believe was recorded), it’s just to share some of the imagery.

Session 4 was a pivotal one, where we discussed the move “from reflection to confession.”  It was a powerful and transforming morning and while my powerpoint won’t capture the moment, I will share it.

And finally, here is a video of the youth describing how they worship God. Special thanks to Daniel Hsu, the retreat staff and counselors, and of course, the wonderful students. What a great group of youth. I look forward to the next generasian church.

Enjoy~
