Georgia declares state of emergency over drought

Psalm 63

My Soul Thirsts for You
A Psalm of David, when he was in the wilderness of Judah.

1O God, you are my God; earnestly I seek you;
my soul thirsts for you;
my flesh faints for you,
as in a dry and weary land where there is no water.

Today it rained for the first time it seems in months.

My wife and I had begun to collect water in buckets. Last week we collected almost 20 gallons worth of excess water in our shower and from our faucet. The sheer amount of water we collected and hauled to our front lawns to resuscitate dying plants brought to our attention how wasteful we are. So it’s a small change that we’re incorporating into our lives. I’m no Josh Brown, but it’s a start.

    haha! that’s great.

    looks like you’re in atlanta too. we should hook up for some lunch or something sometime. i’ve got a friend that lives over that way so it wouldn’t be hard to get to at all.

    and we got no rain in the burbs. just a steady mist. but nice idea on the shower buckets. i heard about that while i was out of town but haven’t had a chance to practice it yet.

    Wow, I just read about the water shortage in the paper. Your city is in my prayers….

    Josh, what side of town are you on? We should get lunch together sometime!

    Thank you Joseon…it rained all day today.

    We both need to be praying for SoCal!
